Custom homebuilder
Construction Consultants is diverse and flexible when it comes to accommodating your needs. Stewart has been building homes in Lubbock, Texas since 1985. He believes that each home he builds should be as special and unique as its owner. Stewart has been a pioneer in energy efficiency in West Texas. He was the first to offer ICF's (insulated concrete forms) in West Texas when he became a distributor for American PolySteel in 1995. He built the first ICF home in Lubbock area and the first commercial project using PolySteel. Stewart, working with Brad Reed with Lubbock Community Development, was instrumental in helping their program transition to high energy efficient homes. Lubbock Community Development celebrated the construction of their 100th ICF home in the Fall of 2007 with their first home being an American PolySteel home built by Stewart Townsen. Stewart, in partnership with American PolySteel, Lubbock Community Development, and Habitat for Humanity built the first Habitat home built with ICF's in Lubbock.
Construction with arxxSteel
Building
with ARXX is fast, easy, cost-effective and energy efficient. ARXX
ICFs combine five steps used in conventional wood frame construction
into one.
Not only are Arxx ICFs efficient but they also protect what is most important to you, your family and your home. It’s time to build safe and protect your family from natural disasters. Click here to learn more and also see an actual email from one of Arxx ICFs customer.
ARXX ICFs provide:
1. structure
2. insulation
3. vapor and air barriers
4. sound barrier
5. fastening strips
ARXX forms are snapped together to create the walls and foundation.
Snap in rebar and pour concrete.
ARXX forms stay in place. The result is a an energy-efficient, air-tight
building with greater comfort, since the foam panels act as an air and
vapor barrier in addition to adding insulation. This saves substantial
heating and cooling costs, and will reduce HVAC requirements and costs.
Projects are stronger too, with excellent fire-resistance,
wind-resistance and seismic strength. Concrete cures longer and better,
in all weather, due to ARXX’s design.
Building interiors are more comfortable, with less temperature
variation, less noise, and better indoor air quality. ARXX is perfect
for demising walls, hotels, townhomes, theaters, and churches.
Projects finish sooner, because an ARXX wall takes the place of several
construction steps with just one.
ARXX Steel ICFs are designed for a wide range of projects and the ARXX Steel Waffle Grid reduces concrete use by 25% in residential applications. ARXX Steel ICFs are built with galvanized steel webs and offer a 24” flat wall and a 16” waffle grid solution.
Features include:
•Unique galvanized steel webs
•24” high flat wall panels speed up installation
•Waffle grid form reduces concrete use by 25%
•Recessed furring strips simplify stucco applications
•6" and 8" core options
Energy efficient construction
With water conservation on our minds and improved material selections, we can improve indoor living quality. Our company can reduce environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of the home.
Traditional Construction Can Not Compete
The idea behind creating an energy-efficient home begins at the foundation and continues upward with the floors, exterior walls, windows and doors, and right to the peak of the roof. The more air-tight the home is constructed, the better it will perform. The goal is to keep inside air in, and outside air out. In return you'll have a more comfortable, healthier, and safer interior environment with substantially lower energy bills. Old-fashioned, stick built construction is out of date and simply can not compete with our structures.
